I went out yesterday afternoon on an ice update mission. Cherry Creek is fishable in a few spots. Fisherman on the southwest/west corners. Marina is open and whatever ice there looked thin. Chatfield had fisherman on Fox Run and Catfish flats. Alot of open water at the North Marina. Other then that the lake is 2 - 3 inches or less. Chatfield ponds were about 3 inches - no one fishing them. Lone Tree looked good, didnt see anyone out on it and I was too lazy to get out and look. Lon Hagler looked OK on the south side but the ice didnt extend too far from the shore either. Boedecker looked good except right by the dam. Thats all I had time for. Happy fishing!

Take a spud people...and hit the ice in front of you as you go...it may save you from an icy bath or even better yet...save your life...since front range ice is so iffy right now...it may be January but we have only had a few cold nights...
