I fished all three of these in the past 3 days....for cats.

Lon Hagler---Fished for a few hours on Tues night. talked to some people fishing for trout by the boat ramp at about 10pm, they had caught nothing in 2 hours of fishing. i proceeded to follow suit, fishing by the inlet and catching nothing for 2 hours myself.

Union---a few wipers were being caught by some guys on the dock. i fished for cats on the northwest corner last night and only had a few sluggish hits...carp, most likely.

Barr Lake---water was VERY high. i fished hit the northwest corner of the dam and found the water up to the tree line. for the most part the shore was totally inaccessable--there was a big floating matt of sticks, leaves, and other organic goo making it impossible to fish effectively, expecially when it got dark. i managed to find one small opening, but didnt catch anything in about 2 hours of fishing.

i used liver and crawlers, but it didnt seem to matter much as i didnt hook anything. perhaps next week ill try again, im hoping the levels at Barr drop sometime soon....

At least you got out. I may be catfishing at rio blanco tonight at like 10:30 or so. There are lots of cats there, as well as decent pike.

speaking of catfish, my bro and I hit prewitt yesterday hoping to nail some wipers. Lost one while realing in my bait and my brother caught two nice cats. One was 23 inches and the other was 21 inches. they totalled seven pounds and were caught off nightcrawlers. Lots of small bites thought that were probably more cats.
