Fished lonetree this morning from 7 till 11, my buddy and I picked up 6 walleyes and a big carp. It was pretty slow till about 9:30 then action picked up. I've never really done very well in the early morning @ Lonetree. LOTS of boats out there , but not really alot of catching. One boat had a 19in. wiper, another said they had 3 decent eyes, and we saw another boat catch 1. We jigged with half a crawler right on the edge of the weed line, along the north shore heading east from the ramps. 3 were keepers, the other 3 were 14er's. Man was the weather sure HOT out there.

Man I need to get my butt out there and catch me some walleye. I know they are in there. I have seen a few HUGE ones when duck hunting last year along the shore. I have also seen some huge wiper and catfish pictures from there too. The only fish I have ever caught there though was some small cats and perch out the inlet, nothing out the lake. It's tough but looks like it is not impossible.
