I scrolled through the "lost & found" section today, after seeing that some friends of mine have recently lost some valuable stuff. We all lose stuff..... and it sucks. Really. And for those who lost valuable stuff recently, Dam it!

But if you scroll the lost & found, what the heck folks......

Ice fishing poles (lots of Ice fishing stuff), cameras, fly boxes, boots, fly vests, nets, fly rods, neclaces, pets, fins, chairs, bags, augers, tents

How the hell do you lose a tent? or a chair? or an Auger? Really?

Look, I've got friends on this forum that have misplaced or dropped flyboxes, nets, gloves and whatever, and it sucks when you lose your stuff. And if your stuff has been stolen, well, that is a different animal. Losing a tent, or a chair, or an auger though....

How did ya'll lose so much stuff...

Baffling, really :D :D

Sorry to those who lost expensive and hard to replace stuff (Oyey, I hope you find that Winston)

I was once following a blond woman on a snowmobile on Granby. She had a rooster tail coming from the back of her ice sled that she was towing with her snowmobile. I tried to get her to stop but my snowmobile didn't go as fast. Right as I got behind her, I noticed a nice fishing reel bouncing along the ice. Next thing I know, the line snapped and it went bouncing. I stopped the track on my snowmobile and it went into a skid and rolled, I rolled with it. I got up and noticed my snow mobile was still moving at idle across the ice. I ran the opposite direction and grabbed the reel, and then I ran after my snowmobile and jumped back on Long Ranger Style. I finally caught up with her at the Sunset Boat ramp.

Her rod was in a holder on the sled. The reel came loose and the rod butt fell through the hole and jammed into the snow while she was driving. She didn't notice.

I think she lost an ice hut on a subsequent trip....and a few nets as well out of her boat (one hit me on the top of the head as it went out the back).

There was no alcohol involved that I know of ;D

You know how easy it is to lose a hut in 11mile's 60MPH wind? Just get drunk, unscrew the anchors before taking the hut down, and hold on like the hut is a kite...
