The lower Poudre fished well yesterday despite low flows, crystal clear water, and abundant sunshine.  The fish were very spooky, long casts and light tackle were definately a must.  I landed 4 trout between 12-~22" in about an hour of fishing while I waited for the turkey to cook  :).  There is ice starting to form on shaded slow moving holes.

Here's one of the browns, I would guess it to be ~ 22" long.  Thick'n healthy, and full of attitude!

big fish thrive in the public bait/catch and keep section of the river!

Nice!! Did you catch that in Ft. Collins or above? I am always fishing the Poudre in town down by Martinez Park and I have caught some nice browns and an occasional nice rainbow. Mostly browns tho.
