Before heading to work this morning I threw my new 7ft G-loomis Ultra-Lite in the car with a few Kasties. I hit up the local slimmer pit that had about half the ice melted. Made about a dozen cast caught 3 little snot rockets. I have to say, never owning a quality ultra-lite before, this G-Loomis is the ****! Made catching these little guys pretty exciting!

There's still 8-13" on most of the lake, the edges are blown out though. A solid board or a ladder is needed to get on it in most spots.

Nice, that pond can be fun to kill a couple hours at. Someone recently showed me a picture of a huge bass, 8-10#, that he claimed was from there...

They're in there, I've caught a couple that were in the 6-8lbs range over the years. But like you said its really just a good place to kill a couple of hours.
