I plan to go after them at ice out. Tube jig with sucker meat a good bet? What jig do you like? I'm thinking Twin Lakes and Forebay.

Since they're a char. Do they taste anything like brookies?

They usually eat OK till about 22" or so. Then not so much.

Tube jigs or twister tails in white, green, or brown.

I find they hit metal popped off the bottom.

Also cannot go wrong with roe sacs-

Nothing ever tastes like fresh brookies right out of the water into a pan Pete. It's the fight and the potential for a monster that'll keep you wanting more...

Look for big macs in real shallow at ice out. Cranks and big swims are good options for ice out macs.
