I would love to try lake erie on the ice. Ive fished it twice but it was from a bass boat during the summer. I have a good buddy from college that lives in sandusky Ohio and have visited him a few times. the experiences i have had on lake erie are ones i will never forget. taking on 6 foot swells in a bass boat with my buddy yelling "the faster we go, the less bumpy the ride"

This video is extremely similar to what i had to endure both times

I want to fish Lake Winnipeg and Last Mountain in Saskatchewan. The latter also is loaded with big pike!
Fished "LAST MOUNTAIN' circa 1992.. 93...
Lots of Big PIKE...
I did not get one, But My 2 Buddies got 3 over 42"
All out of a 16' Lund.... LOL!
Of course, We went up to fish Walleyes...
Hit Tobin that year also... got a few Eyes over 25"
LONG drive to fight the Wind..
BEAUTIFUL campgrounds, however...
AND fish Cleaning stations....

Ha Ha... LOL!!
We were at Ft Peck (Hell Creek) for 2 1/2 days the same trip 2 years later.
I had my Lund 1775 back then.
My Buddy had His 16' Lund...
Fought the WIND, AND (backing down to) a low water boat ramp every day.
Got 1 -11lb Walleye, 1 33" Pike, 2 15" eyes and 5-6 Goldeneyes... or whatever They were.
Probably got about 5 hrs of actual fishing in.
SO... we decide to go to Last Mnt... cause We were "so close" .....
Yeah, right.... The WIND followed Us... So did the RAIN....
LONG trip.... little result...
And the WIND.... did I mention the WIND...
Oh Yeah... smacked an Antelope with My Chevy just S. of Broaddus, Mt...
Thank God, no major damage... just a bunch of hair inside my bumper.... lol!

Peck was warm sunny calm, stayed at the campgrounds near the dam/ marina. Only group there! Fished the dam got smallies, then went to the Pines area. In 2.5 days we got prolly 50-60 eyes with an 8lber, many 20" ers, a 10 lb pike.

This was the last week in June!
