These beginner fly fishing classes are an excellent way to get intoduced to fly fishing. They will shorten the learning curve and help you become a successful fly fisherperson. The classroom session will cover the latest in equipment, leader set-ups, simple knots, casting, entomology, fly selections, reading water, spotting Trout, and Trout behavior. The on-water session will be held at the beautiful, private North Fork Ranch, only 45 minutes from Denver. On-water, we will put to use what we learned in the classroom and fish for 5-8lb. Rainbows, Steelheads, Cutthroats, Brown and Brook Trout.

Fishing Fever

A family day of fishing frenzy. All fishing is catch-and-release, no live bait. All anglers 16 years and older, planning to fish at the event, must possess a valid Colorado Fishing License. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal Fishing Recreation Fee will not be charged on May 14.

5/14/2005: No Name Fishing Tournament
The 21st Annual No Name Fishing Tournament will begin at sunrise on Saturday, May 14th and continue until 10AM Sunday, May 15th. The tourney will award a $500 cash prize for the largest trout, pike & salmon (each) plus prizes for 4th - 16th place. A Junior (age 16 or under) prize of $100 and a trophy will be awarded for the largest fish in this category. Many, many door prizes will be given away.
