First off not sure this is a report or bragging board material but I took the kids to Crystal creek on the black mesa. Brought a couple flyrods and not much more. We set out for small Brook trout in small overgrown cover creeks. We hit the first creek Crystal and stayed there. Cought around 16 fish. Both boys caught many all on their own. Casted landed and released. I just sat back and enjoyed. It was some of the most overgrown area I've fished in a long time. The boys are really vetting into it. The fish were eagerly hitting royal hummpys and coachmans. Anyway not much more trips left as the boys start school and the water levels are low.
