meal vs wax??

does any body know the difference between them i know the size difference but i think i have heard of meal worms are not the ones to use is this true. cause i noticed at the mile trout had wax worms and he caught 6 a buddy and i were using meal worms and no fish any body else know of this??

I've used both on the same day, and caught lots with both. I fish half-pices of mealworms, usually.
