Any chance for middle Park Ice around Christmas time this year? It looks like we'll get some cold days in the next 10 days. Thinking about heading up with my wife and (3) kids. Suggestions on places to stay & things to do are welcome. Might stay around the Grand lake area. Saw some lodging options on Homeaway.com, but I figured I might be able save both parties a buck or two by going directly to the source. ;) Thanks.

Willow cr. is normally fast action for stockers this time of year.
Silver cr ski area is kid friendly, tubing hill Fraser, lots of stuff to do.
I don't ski. That's too rich for my blood. :biggrin1: We are thinking about a cabin from Dec 24-26, ice fishing, Hot Sulphur Springs and maybe some walking/hiking, and the simpler things in life...

Welp, wife wants to stay at the Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa... She wants to chill in the hot springs while I go fish... And I thought we were gonna spend hours ice fishing... :(

I've never been to the Hot Springs there, just pass through on the way to the Fork. Are they pretty nice?? We will be in Granby from the 19th-23rd. Planning to tube in Fraser Sunday the 20th.
Never stopped there either (except for gas a couple of times). I stay away from the tourist things as much as I can. But the wife digs tourist attractions...
