Last fall late, this lovely little lake was a hot trout fishery; I had a lot of fun with flies and Muddlers. Now I know why few people fish it this time of year. No boats allowed, and the shoreline is so choked with green slime and moss that even dry flies can seldom be retrieved without a mess. Far-cast bait might be feasible, if you don't mind cleaning off the stuff if you pull in without a catch. It is a fee pond ($2 per day), in Firestone. Guess I'll wait until late fall again. It's a shame; beautiful place, clear water, etc., except for the moss.
