Last time I bought fatheads at Gander in aurora,the guy gave me about 4 dozen when i bought only two! Can also get minnows at bills live bait on 60th and washington.

I had the same experince at Gander also bought 2 dozen and the guy had to put 4 plus dozen in the bucket.

One place that doesn't carry minnows is Bait and Bullet in Brighton. Wish they did. I don't know of any place around Ft. Lupton that carries them. :'( Does anyone know of a place? ???

another thing? can u buy floating jig heads anywher, and how do fish them? just hook the minnow normall and let em swim around or what?

I been buying my floaters at Gander but most anywhere should have some.I hook them from under the mouth up through their skull and they stay happy and wiggly.I like to keep them about 4-6 inches off the bottom.If the minnow is too big then the minnow can pull the floater down into the weeds or whatever and the system doesnt work.

The minnow will act as weight and take your jighead to the bottom the float basically makes the minnow stay above structure, grass, moss, whatever.

Oh yeah,you need weight-I'll use 2 or 3 splitshots like 4-6 inches from the floater depending on the hight you want.Also depends on how far you want to cast out,wind,etc.Its really not very complicated.
