This is an example of the carp that lurk in that inlet canal that we were fishing. "Step right up, fly fishermen, step right up, read all about it!"

The end of a good morning... The beginning of 2 hours of cleaning fish.
By the way, I finished cooking most of mine already. Have like, 1 or 2 left only. I'll save those for a poker & beer night. (They're excellent grilled!)



Boulder Reservoir

This trip, I didn't post about because this trip was just me and my lady's bro fartin around at Boulder trying to hook into some catfish while fishing off the bottom with minnows, crawlers and cutbait. Somehow, I got lucky and caught this lil bugger. This was on April 13th (I think) as I recall, it was a Wednesday.

Yep! Sure did!! I'm gon' have to change my line out after that girl. She took my terrified Rattlin Rapala into the thickest of the tumbleweeds and all over through the vegitation.

Great pics, how big are those wipers and what does that carp weigh?

All them wipers were somewhere between 15 /12" and 16" with a few up to 17". The carp, I would guesstimate 20lbs (which may be an exageration) but 15 lbs would be the lowest. In fact I told everybody it was about 20lbs because it felt as heavy as a 20lb dumb-bell that my buddy uses to do curls.
