I had a few hours free on Saturday, April 18th so I dropped the kayak in for the first time of the year in the Mississippi River Backwaters of Pool 2. The action was slower than expected and I attributed that to a recent drop in water temperatures but I was able to tag into a 3.54lb Largemouth and a bonus White Crappie that weighed 1.12lbs!
