Hi All,

We had a thread here about a month ago about moldable lead and I touted Ligas Shape a Wate as the best stuff out there. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it for a long time so I finally wrote to Ligas and he said that the supplier has died and it is unclear whether the family will continue producing that product. Trust me on this, let's hope that they do continue to make it and may his soul rest in peace.

This is unfortunate, every one I know who use ligas bought as much as they could get their hands on when they heard of his passing, hopefully his daughter will carry on in the fathers business.

This the same Ligas that makes dubbing material it's getting harder and harder to find that around these days as well?

if the daughter doesn't cary on maybe she will alow someone else to maybe even someone here might aquire the right to make the stuff

Wally didn't say that it was the whole Ligas product line, just the Shape a Wate. But I didn't ask about the other products. I sure love the Ligas dubbings as well.

Haven't seen that Ligas dubbing in a long time but it has some great color variations. As for the Moldable lead, I change my weight at almost every hole so I use split shot.

Well Anglers all still has some Ligas dubbing but #25 my favorite scud color is tough to find anymore. I have actually started clipping antron for buggy looking dubbing so far the fish give it 2 thumbs up.....
