Well, I got the skunk yesterday at Chatfield except for one small smallie. But today was great on my lunch break! Went to Riverbend Ponds and did my usual half hour of fishing. First I got a small largemouth, about 9", then I got this right before I had to go back to work! 8)

Both pics are of the same fish. Got it with the Wave Worms.

Where do I get a job that lets me fish when working?

Great Bass Scorpion!

Dan
Well, they won't let me fish when working :( But I get an hour for lunch and the Prospect Ponds, Riverbend Ponds and a couple of nice spots on the Poudre are all between 1 and 2 miles from my shop. So I rush out there and fish quickly! 8)

Nice!!!!! I too caught a few nice bass after I left Chatfield and went to my "SECRET SPOT" cause the skunk at Chatfield had jumped on my back and I wasn't going to allow that.  I caught four all about this size and lost two more on senkos fished weightless.  These are two different fish.  I give you more props though since your bass came out of public water.  Hopefully we can compare our muskie pics after thursday Scorpion but you know mine will be able to eat yours  ;)

That's what I like to hear!!! Hawg slammin' any chance you get!

In the latest picture by Gotmuskie, the bass kinda looks like a spotted bass doesn't it?

Probably just the standard northern strain largemouth bass but the two rows of dark blotches on the top resemble the markings of a spotted bass. Damn fine specimen if it is a spotty.

Scorpion, what pond did you catch that guy out of? I'm suprised I actually didn't see you when you were there since I think I was out there the same day as you. All I've managed to catch so far has been some of the little 4" sunfish and a 6" crappie. Wouldn't mind getting a hold of something like that :)

I was at the small pond in the back. I was there from about 12:15 to 12:50. If you seen me there I am the guy with long blond hair and covered with tats.

Yes, the riverbend ponds are in fort collins. Basically at either mulberry and timberline for the north entrance or prospect and timberline for the south entrance. Hey Scorpion, where do you go for good fishing along the poudre here in town and for lures, not flyfishing? Would be kinda interested in catching some browns and keepers too :)

And I'm still confused on which pond that is Scorpion, is that the pond that is designated as the "bluegill" pond? Or one of the ponds near the south entrance?

Yes, it was the bluegill Pond, the Pond that no one wants to fish because of the vegetation. I replied to your pm about the Poudre at Martinez Park so check your messages.

Cool, you'll see me out there often at lunch break. I am either there or Prospect Ponds or at Martinez Park.
