Here she is. Picked it up last night after a good cruise on the Tennessee River.

Not the prettiest boat, certainly not a brand new Lund... But it'll be everything we need it to be. Needs some small work... impellor, re-wire of the foot-controlled trolling motor, all crap I can do in a day here at the house.

Haven't named it yet. Waiting for a couple trips out on the boat first. It's the boy's birthday today, so he woke up to quite a surprise this morning. :)

For a boat made in the 70s and a motor from 1985, it's in pretty darn good shape and really scoots on the water when you open it up.

It's my first non-inflatable water vessel, so I've got alot to learn. Eager for the fun and even the challenges ahead of us this Spring and Summer.

Sweet! Let's see some serious fish porn now. You no longer have a legitimate excuse. :biggrin1: Well, I guess there is still the issue of the good water holes being too far away...

Congrats buddy.

The happiest days of a boater's life are the day he buys a boat and the day....

Seriously, happy for ya man!!

Here are some pix of my kids playing on the boat. One of my son's friends was over for his birthday today. Also can see the deck seats that came with the boat.

Thanks for all the kind words and advice, guys. We're pretty excited to get out and fish now. Been waiting and saving up for a while, and now it's here. Good times are ahead... And yes, fosh porn.

Congrats on the new ride Owen. You and your boy will create a lifetime of memories with it.

And I hope you soon learn the difference between a boat owner and a boater.

Boat owners like to throw out the tired old sayings like a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into, or Break Out Another Thousand.

Boaters know there is so much more to it. I for one will never be without one. And, I will give you one less known saying. Do you know what the two best days in a BOATERS life are? Saturday and Sunday (or whatever days you have off).

Enjoy the boat.
