The Colorado Division of Wildlife has redesigned their online brochure. It now features full-color graphics and detailed watershed maps that indicate angler access on some of the states more popular fishing waters and what special regulations apply for that area. It also contains video clips throughout the publication. The videos are there to help educate you on some of the species of fish in Colorado and to give you tips on how to teach first timers and children to fish. Several of the clips are taken from the Division of Wildlife’s “Fly Fishing Colorado” DVD.
One other feature included in the brochure is a list of the Cold Medal Waters and the state fishing records. Along with tips on where to take your kids ice fishing, fly fishing, where to catch big bass and more. There are also pages on protecting the state waters from the spread of aquatic nuisance species like zebra, quagga mussels and New Zealand mud snails. It also includes step by step instructions on how to clean your waders and gear.
Just in time for the new 2011 fishing season which starts April 1, 2011. Licenses are on sale already so pick up yours soon and grab the news stand version of the regulations. The online version can be found here: http://www.flipseekpubs.com/publication/?i=62341
