Just got an email from Ruf-Nec Tackle down at Logan, NM (Ute Lake). There is a new NM record caught there-24" long, 16 1/2" girth and 7.3 lbs. Wish I could post the picture but I am computer illiterate. :-[

If you type in Ruf-Nec Tackle you can probably get to their website-they have a picture. Very, very nice fish.

Thanks ePic-could never have done that on my own. That is one impressive fish. Don't know what he caught it on but I'll try to find out more. This is an absolutely great lake-if you like smallies, walleye and white bass this is a place you really ought to go. About 3 hrs south-east of Raton.
