Hello there. I just moved into Greeley, CO about a month ago from the east coast for work (just graduated college). I don't have a boat or kayak yet, so I am stuck bank-fishing. Could I get any suggestions of decent sections of rivers/streams or lakes/ponds near Greeley/Loveland/Fort Collins that I could explore and potentially catch some bass or trout?

I also know that fly-fishing is big out here in the west, but I only have a spinning reel at the moment. Will I be able to catch trout off of rooster-tails and similar lures out here?

Any and all advice is appreciated :)

Welcome. Try Panther Martins. Trout love them. Try silver blade with yellow body and red spots. Also, gold blade, black body and yellow spots. Rivers and lakes.

Bubble and Woolly Bugger or Pistol Petes's do real good on lakes.
