Alright, so I usually fish for large species like Largemouth, Walleye, and catfish here in Colorado. But with the bass in the beds and dealing with their spawning, so far all that's truly biting are smaller fish. I've been going for Crappie, but don't exactly know how to target them. So who's got some awesome tips or advice??

The old standby crappie jigs in bright colors usually work, But, I've been catching them recently with a small (size 4 or 6) spinner/worm harness cast from shore around structure and slowly retrieved.....I use this rig weightless for fewer snags.

I fill a clear casting bubble with water and add a split shot right behind it. Then tie on a bead head hare's ear fly with a 4' leader. Slow retrieve with twitches. Count down the seconds after it hits 'till you start reeling, when you get one you can match the same depth.
