I have recently moved to Denver from San Diego and have some friends visiting from Minnesota next week, they want to do some trout fishing around or near'ish to Denver. The problem is I have no idea where to take them..
Any suggestions or advice?, I know they plan on using spinning gear with kastmasters and the likes.
You might want to take them to Jefferson right now. Using kastmasters, quarter ounce jigs with a gulp minnow and a fly and bubble will get them into fish...Rainbows, brookies and lakers.
I was up there a week or so ago and was rained and hailed off of the lake in less than two hours after I got there...but caught a few small lakers and a couple of trout. Trout are rising everywhere along the shoreline and taking flies..and it's a beautiful place.
I sent you a text msg sir, it will be from a 760 number
