Hi, my name is Jc and I am wanting to start targeting walleyes at Chatfield, Cherry creek, etc. Was wondering if there is someone on here that is familiar with the night bite and might want to go or that has any tips for me. I am from shore still as my savings is going to pay my medical bills from my kidney transplant. Maybe a boat next year. Thanks
- grubs and small swimbaits (or giant swimbaits, if you are into it).
- Lipless crankbaits (better reserved for areas with soft bottoms, not rocks).
There is a range of speed and motions that work better, depending on the lure and conditions. More aggression/speed in the time tends to work better. Slower tends to be better at night.
Ive always used lighted slip bobbers with minnows when i night fished. Now i just wake up early and come hom in the afternoon. Walleyes seem to bite fine during the day also.
