Hi all, I have been out of fishing for a few years, but am jumping back in. I wanted to go tonight. Is there anywhere in the Denver Metro area good for late night fishing? Also going tomorrow from like 4pm-10pm. Will be fishing from the shore/dock. Anyone have any good location tips? late night and evening.

Union Reservoir in Longmont...off of 119 and County Line Road.  its a fee area, but you have a good chance of catching some decent wipers there. guys catch them there bottom fishing with mussels, shrimp, and crayfish tails.

Barr Lake...in Brighton.  its another fee area.  i think the water is still high, but you should be able to fish the park side with no problems. a good catfish lakes at times...liver works well or shrimp or crawlers.

Chatfield Res....  a fee area also.  what the heck, everything costs money these days.  fish below the dam or near the marina, guys are catching walleyes there.  thats where i would go right now...take some dark or glowing jigs and tip them with leeches or crawlers.

i assume you are bait fishing? if now try Rat L Traps, jigs, or jerk baits at all of these lakes.

OK, went to Chatfield and fished from the Handicapped Pier from midnight till 7am. Caught 2 walleye 12" and 15" on nightcrawlers.

Going tonight with the whole family from about 4pm-11pm. Does anyone know of a good place to go that may be a bit more productive?

Do you guys ever worry about somebody running into you at night-or the other way around. I always have my lights on but I go real slow cause I have a fear (a phobia?) that I'll crash into something or something into me. On Pueblo some guys motor up the lake pretty fast at night-won't catch me do'in that. Ed

I have thought adbout it before. I always have all my lights on while moving. If we're stopped ill turn them off. If I hear or see another boat coming ill turn the light back on. While moving the person in the front of the boat has a spotlight to help see and other see us.
