Went to Lake John on Sat. Got there at 6:00am about 10 degrees and 25-30 inches of ice with 4 inches of snow on that. Very nice. Fished until 2:00pm, got 10 between the 3 of us, all under 12 inches, just not our day. I myself had about 20 nibbles which is another good sign, gotta be fast at John. Went over to Cowdrey to see if we bust up quantities and the road in is a no go, unless you work for the county and plow it yourself. So we wondered over to South Delany for an hour, about the same ice conditions there also. Had 3 bites and 1 iced (returned only 11 inches) between 2 of us. I would say there on you just gotta "do what we do" for the big one. Sorry for no pics, we try to release fast and that cuts out the pics. :) :)

Oh yeah, only about 3 other sets of people fishing at both places.

Too bad you didn't get into any nice fish, but at least you had some action. Let me know when you want to try some walleye fishing. This cold front slowed things down, but it should be good in the next couple of weeks.
