Man I gotta say that your trip sounds/looks pretty dang cool!!

What size of fish were you and the wifey landing?

What rod wt were you throwing?

Curious what the difference was in the rods??

T&T makes some quality rods as does Scott...

Thanks for the details.... very cool.

I had a similar situation this last new years. Went to the Show me State for a concert and went on down to AR for a quick fishin trip. Hooked up with a cool dude that took me out fishing streamers and mice from a drift boat. I took my 8wt as recommended and just about wore my arm out TRYING to cast it. It was brutal. He saw that i was struggling to get much distance and accuracy with it so he handed me his rod and what a fricking difference.

It was a Winston Boron iii and man you could feel that 8wt load and when you released it, it would want to pull more line off the reel. Great feel in that rod. He had it set up with SA 25 sonar sink cold line, great for streamers. (not sure if that would be a good line for CO rivers but out there it was very good)
