Hi guys! Former active member...relocated years ago..I live in Michigan...caught 2 Coho Salmon today in a Michigan river, 29 and 30"...lost five of em....also got a 3 lb smallie, a dink smallie, and a really nice channel catfish. The channel was caught in the same run I lost a 36 inch or so coho.

Figured I would swing back around and share my catches, not bad for 6 hrs fishing.

god I miss coho fishing im from ohio and it was amazing this time of year ,tight quarters to say the least but when a fish was hooked everybody reeled in and let the battle take place good job brings back fond memories of fall in the midwest
Most places are tight quarters for the cohos in michigan like 50 guys fishing a single run or two below tippy dam..but I saw only 5 other anglers all day where I fish. May not be like middle of nowhere in the mountains but just wade a few miles and you will be alone, fair weather anglers, which are most salmon fishermen, are lazy.
