I used to live in Michigan in the 70's and caught lots of steelies, coho and a couple of chinook. Beautiful State, but even then it was crowded. Yesterday I caught 10 rainbows from 14 to 16" on flies of my own design and one 19" pig. My fishing partner was a great blue heron that was fishing along the bank scarfing up minnows. I was often within 5 feet of that bird and we became buddies. No one else around and the water was flat calm most of the day. The peaceful tranquility is a rare event these days and I treasure it even more than the fishing! Sorry to say this but I wish all of you would move back to the midwest!
