Thought it might be interesting to start a thread to share fly pattern(s) that have been productive. Maybe we can pick up some new/good patterns from each other.


I'll start...


I mostly fish small nymphs and I've found "JuJu Baetis" patterns to be quite effective lately on the rivers I fish:



Brown(ish) or grey juju's in a size 20 are a must have in my box.

It is amazing the detail you guys put into such small flies. Nice work.

I think I'd struggle tying flies with my big dumb fingers!

This meat whistle is what works for me with the walleyes. Also works well on LMB, SMB, and wipers. Even caught some decent trout on 'em. John Barr's recipe calls for brown ingredients with a copper cone, and he also suggests black and purple I believe. I decided a couple of years ago that white would be the ticket for critters that chase shad and other bait fish.
