·Started fishing Boyd before sunrise. Fished with a jig on one rod and shrimp on the bottom on the other rod. No hits on the jig until after sunrise. Got quite a bit of small hits on the shrimp. Then BAM! A 20"+ channel cat. Got it all the way up to the bank and ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED the fish.
Had some technical difficulties. All in all, not a bad day of fishing. Between the 4 of us (Monkies_Butt, Eendo, Monkies_Butt's Sister, & Me), we caught about a dozen or so white basses (1/2 was 4-8" & released), decent sized crappies, 2 channels, & a few small smallies. We all fished, but Monkies_Butt did majority of the catching.
If you are heading up there, bring minnows. That is going to be your ticket to catching fish!
