Could you please lay it out for me? How the hell does 7-up come into play during cooking.

Its pretty simple! Bring 7-Up to a rolling boil in a pot. Drop 1-1.5" cubed pike fillets in, boil for 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain. Dip in melted butter and enjoy.

Owen it adds sugar content to the meat...making it sweeter...I have heard it done with perch too...

Tried it with perch the other day, its not the same...

Just going by what a few others go by...everybody's taste buds are different...I mean we have Julia Childs deep frying greasy laker fillets...might as well freeze and deep fry Crisco chunks...
