So I caught my first pike the other day and would like to get my dad on one as well. Mine was at Tarryall but now that 11 Mile has ice didn't know which was better? If you do pick other please let us know what lake (as long as it is in state).

11miles ice forms slow, so if you go out just be careful and take a spud bar or drill some holes every 10 feet or so. It's thin but forming very quickly. And what Jim said, 11mile for size of course but Tarryall for numbers.

An old guy pike tip;

A little experimentation with size of lure and bait depending on depth and the size of fish...try jigging a Kastmaster with a small piece of bacon, the fatter and more grizzly the better

Sweet thanks guys for the input and the tips. My first pike a fat 25" came off of a piece of sucker meat just off the top of the weeds. When I get the pic uploaded i will post a report of it.
