So I been reading the weekly river report from Flies & Lies.

http://www.southplatteoutfitters.com/fishreport.htm

Decided to make a trip over the hill this morning, and hit the river first just downstream from the Ospery campground. Tossed the spinner behind a rock and got a 9-10" brownie. After a while more with no hits, moved upstream.

Worked up to the bridge. Dragged my spinner by every rock in the river with no hits. Decided to see if I could hit a tight target.. dropped it 3 inches below a big rock, and it got hit immediately. Nice little (11" or so) brown:

So lesson of the day.. Throw the spinner 3" behind the rock.. fish too lazy to hit a spinner going BY the rock.. Gotta put it in its living room.
