I've started fishing for Largemouth this summer. I grew up fishing for trout, but have really been enjoying the change of pace, (and rigging weedless plastics).

This morning I headed out to a new pond at 5 am and fished until 10. I was able to land and release five Bass on my new heavy rod, (running 20 lb braid with a flurocarbon leader).

All these fish were found right up next to shore along the cattails. It was nice to find a new place that is less pressured and not littered with trash. None of the fish were huge, (the largest was around 15 inches) but I had a nice morning.

Nice work and Olin if u are smart you will not name the pond on the internet...fish would go down exponentially while trash would go up exponentially...

You were in the right spot at the right time with the right bait. Wouldnt care about size, you had it dialed in!
