I rode my bike a couple miles to a local pond. I started out throwing a jointed shad rap in the walleye color pattern and landed my first Saugeye of the night. I was reeling it at a medium pace with intermittent pops.

I proceeded to fish the same lure for a while without any more bites and decided to throw on a lucky Craft pointer 100 suspending jerkbait in the sardine color pattern. I was working it with double pops and a pause. I ended up getting another Saugeye. The Tapatalk app is not letting me post it for some reason so I’ll have to add it on a post under this one. Usually at this pond I’ll get bit in just a few feet right off the shoreline. Both these fish were away from shore toward deeper water. Now that I’m getting bit at this pond, I’ll likely keep fishing it hard. I heard it’s supposed to snow this week so I’ll probably be there right before and during the snow if I can.
