I just drove by Prospect Lake on my way to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and it sure has a nice looking lid on it. Did the city restock it after it was repaired? If so, do you know what species are in there?

Thanks!

Roger that! My wife eats lunch there several times a week. She has seen lots of stockers come out of there since they stocked it (before ice). It may be a good place to cure your twitching arm when you can't make it out of town! Surely they don't have any regs against being on the ice out there, do they?

I drive by it everyday the ice can be more then 2 inches thick, it melts and has open water 1 day then a lid the next then open water the next, and so on.
I want to say I read some where that you couldnt Ice fish it, but I cant find it anywhere. Maybe check the signs at the park.

Thanks guys. I have to go back to the hospital this afternoon so maybe I'll pull over and inspect it a little closer. ePic, thanks for the thin ice warning and open water report.

It'd be nice to get some good ice over there and set up after workone night for a few hours just to test the night fishing for trout theories.

I know there is no icefishing on prospect because we looked in to it before and i dont think they changed any rules.they are very strict about the rules there and i even had the police helicopter shine its spot light on me and a friend 1 night fishing for cats.it was only 1130 and a cop came over and chased us out. i think it closes at 9 or 10 at night.i have seen people drill holes off the docks at pikeview though and catch fish. but have never tried ...... hope it helps
