Met Kirbydog on the lake. We fished next to each other most of the morning.
He was way to busy catching Bass, Walleye and A 19 inch Catfish.
Fish are alway bigger when there in your own boat. Largest Wallery was only 17 inch.
I you want a picture send me a messge, I don't have a clue.
Catching fish meant bouncing A Rapala jig off the bottom until you either catch a fish or get hung up on the bottom.
Was A great day on the water.

Water temp was 37-38. I had to go thru about 200 yds of skim ice at the north marina boat ramp to get out on the main lake. They were deep-55 to 70 ft but alot of them fought pretty good. Earplug is a great -I'd fish with him anytime. No wind at all which makes it nice.

Were you guys catching them on the bluff walls or channel bends? I've had good luck fishing the bluff walls, west of the north marina, and down past shiprock island.

We were off Shiprock.
Fish were about ten feet deeper then expected.
Most of the fish that were caught were hugging the bottom.

Didn't keep count but I think earplug got 6 and I got about 15. If some more shad die off (ie, we get an actual cold winter ) the fishing will get alot better in Feb.
