got to the lake at sun up and had a NE wind. went west and first cast of the season hooked up with a slimmer then we wasted 2 1/2 hours and only caught 1 more slimmer, then we went where I knew there would be some eyes. my first eye of the season was 18 1/4 then we got a 19 1/2 eye. I had to come off the lake at 10 AM. water temp was 55 to 59 deg.

use caution outside turkey creek, a lot of the trees are under water now but they are near the surface. the lake is still high water and as the runoff gets going the trees may not start showing for sometime yet
