I was there today and it is full. We launched at the North Marina and fished most of the day. It was very slow, but still great to be out on open Water!! I,caught 2 slimers and one 16" eye nothing to write home about, but we had fun. Kooser was there also and got a keeper! Water temp was pretty much from 35 to 39 degree's everywhere I went. It is iced from about middle island back to the inlet.

Anyone going this Saturday? I'm giving serious consideration myself. Got a few things to get ready on the boat, but I think I can make it.

The guy at the inspection station said it has been rising two feet per week. All my waypoints actually pretty much matched from last spring. It seemed like i was fishing pretty much the same level as early spring last year.

sat. weather is calling for wind gusting to 35 mph from the west

I went down today and didn't even launch. We got there later than i had wanted, about 10 am. I sat in the marina parking lot till noon and it never stopped blowing. There were frickin white caps in marina bay! I may go down real early tomorrow?

I was gonna go until I saw the wind forecast-there will be better days.

Am I the only one who likes the lake lower-all my good spots are in 40FOW and their no longer good spots. Spent decades learning the lake and every spring its different!!

Last year I was jigging in an area that my Lowrance map said was dry land, lol. That said Pueblo was great last year. The high water was probably good for the crappie and bass spawn also?
