I haven't been to the lake in some time, but my son was there this morning hunting and he told me that the lake is full already. they normally open the flood gates in mid march so it looks like the river will get a better flow soon.

it might not be so bad as the springs is looking to start pumping water in the SDS pipeline in mid april. so that water wont go down the river until it comes back in fountain creek below town. I havn't heard if they are ready to start filling their new lake. I hope they are ready now while we have so much water

sat. weather is calling for wind gusting to 35 mph from the west

now they say gust to 50 mph
