Water temp is 38 by mid island and west, 40 lower lake. Fishing has been hit and miss-throwing slabs and blade baits in 35-60 FOW. Spots, largemouth and smallies-getting bit on main lake points and bluff walls.

Some days they cooperate, some days they don't.

Yup - exactly what I've been seeing. Going to turn my attention to the crappie.

Does it ever get cold enough down there to ice fish?

Never really been to the Southern Side of Colorado besides just passing through in the summer.

Not really. Turkey Creek sometimes gets enough ice to go out on but the wind usually
breaks up any ice that forms there within days.
