Got lucky and the only bite I had this morning was a 27 inch 12 pound wiper.
Slow trolling a minnow under a bobber.
Kept me pretty busy dragging me into another boats bobbers, they were nice enough to net it for me before we had a huge mess of fish and tackle.
Great morning and I dodged the wind.
I sent pictures to others, hopefully someone will post a picture.

Awesome, totally awesome! Any fish as wide as a man's canoe is awesome.

Too bad someone else was so close to you, sure glad it all worked out though!

That's awesome, what's even better is that you crapped your shorts from fighting that monster and left them on the canoe seat.

Thats my favorite hat. Ask Coleman.
that hat does look like a pair of crappy draaws... which is an upgrade from what i usually discribe it as.
it's also no surprise that you boogered up all the tackle of everyone within a quarter mile of you... damn nice fish btw ;)

I have to thank Hobie cat for showing me how.
It only took five trips out to the same place.
Dinner tonight is Wiper baked with a Tomato, Garlic and Celery mixture over rice. Might pop in some Shrimp and Scallops. Plus some cheap white wine.
I don't think I'll keep a Wiper this big again. They have lots of red meat when they are this big.
