Just heard about and read a few articles on the new kayak play park being built between the two put ins at pumphouse on the Colorado river. Hopefully it won't interfere with the often busy raft traffic. Otherwise it may be a bumper boat fest !

Why on Earth would they need a kayak park there? What a waste of money and time. There are plenty of rivers and sections for kayakers in this state.

Well Jamie, you know putting this stuff in popular areas makes them even more popular ! Maybe they just want other kayakers there to puck up the bodies of the kayakers getting munched up in the canyon

Prepare for PH to be a complete cluster F from this point forward, as if it wasn't already bad enough.

Really? Why don't kayakers take advantage of natural "parks" such as the Upper and Lower Narrows on the Poudre River at high water. Lol. The parks can aid fisheries if they are constructed correctly, if there is any construction. Hope the local TU chapters have been directly involved.
