What about the Snowmass Wilderness Area? I know there are many remote lakes in Elk Range, but have no idea how the fishing is in them. Also, the area has miles and miles of trails over beatiful passes, rivers, and past lakes. An old climbing partner of mine and his wife did a 5 day hike in the Snowmass Wilderness Area and loved it. He told me that they saw no one the entire trip.
