Hey Guys,

Quick report. I fished the Gunnison, Taylor, and Rio Grande river last week in SW Colorado. By far the Gunnison was the stand out river as far as being productive. Lots of hard fighting Rainbows in the 16 to 20 inch class. Fishing a double nymph rigs with emergers (Rs2, etc) was the most by far the most effective tactic. I went back and forth on fishing with 1 split shot on or off.

The Taylor fished pretty good too. But a lot more crowded especially at the tailwater section.

The Rio Grande was just Ok. The river was very low and so were all the tributaries. The fall scenery was Epic as usual . Here are a few pics..

Cheers! Ray
