Because everyone else and their brother are all catching monster walleye/wiper etc etc I figured I would subtly post this "report" here.

Caught a few of these guys over the weekend and missed a couple of LMB- they inhaled and exhaled my fly before I ever had a chance to set the hook.

This lake is my usual go to for warm water species and typically it's hard for me to keep the crappie and white bass off my fly but recent trips have been very slow. Same with the LMB- usually I can get at least a handful in the 3-5lb range when I switch to spin gear but they aren't holding in the usual areas.

My thought is that some of it is due to the amount of water and the fish being more spread out and the recent weather patterns affecting water temps.

The LMB seem to still be paired up and sitting on beds, not acting too aggressive. I did see one bass harassing a turtle which was pretty comical. Anyways, if I get some time this weekend away from house projects I'm taking the canoe out...I'm thinking that trip report will have a few more pictures!

Looks like I caught the attention of the two LOUDEST contributors to fishing reports...::)

Na, you guys are killing it and I enjoy the fish porn. Once I get some of my local still water haunts figured out I will have more to contribute.
