Finally got into some of the big bucketmouths. fished from 0600 till 1100 and water temp was around 70 according to my buddies fish finder. Started on east end and one small bass so moved to the south side of the lake. Hooked a monster but lost him whn he got to the boat and decided he wanted to go to the bottom and got into the weeds. Next one i horsed a little more and he got off before i could net him. It is so cool when the bass do the pause thing on the top of the water before launching themselves in the air shaking thier ole head side to side. last one i caught around the little island on the north shore. he decided he wanted to head to the depths too but he was hooked to good. He was a tad over 4 and the two i lost were easily over that. All were caught on a plaing gold #1 mepps. also caught a little perch on a spinner too. Will say that there were tons of little fish that i assume were baby bass swiming around in the shallows. all in all a good day that made it worth while staying up 26hrs to go fishing after working a mid
