I took out the kayak in search of some bass at Quincy on Saturday. The weather was really nice, and the surface water temperature was 47. There were some F16s flying around from Buckely AFB, and while they are very cool to watch, when they would fly over I could feel the vibrations in the water through my yak. I can't help but think that this had some negative reaction on the fish. I did see some bass, prowling the shallows, but was unable to cox a bite. I was able to catch and release a few rainbows which broke my 3 trip skunk streak.

I took my yak off the water about 3, and right up near shore you could see a few bass swimming in the shallows... mocking me....

Anyhow, overall a successful and fun day.

I went out there Saturday too and got skunked for the first time in a few trips, I can't help but think that snow storm 2 days before didn't have some sort of effect, but its good to hear you were seeing bass swimming shallow!
